Sense of Sustainability
Sense of Sustainability is a new division within Sense of Agency focused on sustainability communications, ESG-aligned storytelling and responsible brand positioning. Many consumer brands already make thoughtful decisions across sourcing, materials, packaging, emissions awareness and value-chain practices. Most do not have the internal capacity to translate these actions into clear, credible communication. Sense of Sustainability was created to fill this gap.
Why clarity matters
Research shows that transparent sustainability communication directly influences brand performance.
78% of consumers consider sustainability important when making purchase decisions.¹
Products with ESG-related claims grew ~28% over five years compared with ~20% growth for conventional products.²
Only ~20% of consumers believe brands accurately represent their sustainability practices.³
Pilot offering
Sense of Sustainability is introducing a pilot service called the Sustainability Transparency Snapshot. This service helps brands organize and articulate existing sustainability actions in an ESG-aligned, communications-led format.
The Snapshot includes:
One-page Sustainability Snapshot summarizing sourcing, packaging, materials, value-chain practices and GHG emissions awareness.
Ten-slide Transparency Deck for customers, investors and partners with ESG and CSR-aligned language.
One social-ready graphic introducing the brand’s sustainability stance.
Optional add-ons include sustainability webpage copy, ESG language refinement for investor or pitch materials, product launch positioning, high-level value-chain mapping and sustainability messaging guidelines.
Who this is for
This division supports early and growth-stage brands across CPG, wellness, beauty, apparel, food and beverage and hospitality. It is ideal for teams seeking sustainability and ESG-aligned communication without building a full internal sustainability or CSR department.
Sense of Sustainability is led by Emporia Meng, founder of Sense of Agency. Her background includes research in waste-to-value and biomass gasification, exposure to a family office portfolio spanning more than twenty-five companies across energy, carbon capture, biotech, hospitality and real estate, and board and mentorship roles in environmental impact and youth development. She is also a part-time M.S. candidate in Sustainability Management at Columbia University.
